The creators of Mise live and work in Brooklyn, NY.

While learning how to cook new food during quarantine, they were motivated to create this app by their own desire for a more orderly recipe box.

Potato is their dog. She has cheered them on from day one. You can follow her @onceinabluepotato.

While searching the app store to see if there was something Mise-y, nothing could be found.

Others offered a few similar features, but they were lost in a sea of extra, overwhelming content. We didn’t like that. None of them had the combination of utility and design we were seeking.

This discovery seemed like an opportunity to help home cooks like ourselves who are learning and struggling to navigate recipe sites…so, we made Mise.
