The creator of Mise lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

While learning how to cook new food during quarantine, she was motivated to create this app by her own desire for a more orderly recipe box.

Potato is her dog. She has cheered her on from day one. You can follow her @onceinabluepotato.

While searching the app store to see if there was something Mise-y, nothing could be found.

Others offered a few similar features, but they were lost in a sea of extra, overwhelming content. She didn’t like that. None of them had the combination of utility and design she was seeking.

This discovery seemed like an opportunity to help home cooks like her who are learning and struggling to navigate recipe sites…so, she made Mise.
